Carlee and Nick Elliott | October 10, 2020 | Boulder, Colorado

As I sat down to write about Carlee and Nicks beautiful fall wedding this weekend in Boulder, Colorado so many words were flooding into my head. I really do not think I will be able to summarize how wonderful of a day it was. So just know, as you read this and get a sense of the amazingness, just know it was that times ten!

It couldn’t of been a more beautiful fall day in Colorado. There was a slight breeze and a warm 80 degree sun was peeking through the passing clouds. The trees were a crisp golden yellow and if you can picture it, just the epitome of a perfect fall day. The girls were getting ready with lots of laughs as they ate lunch. At the reception I found out that they all did not know each other until the bachelorette party, but being in that room that morning I had no idea because they were all getting along so well it felt like I was in a room with old friends. But if you know Carlee, you know she has a way of making everyone feel warm and welcomed and so obviously she has friends who are the same. Carlee slipped into her dress (which by the way, was GORGEOUS!) and everyone gasped. She looked absolutely flawless. Carlee and her mom, Cara, shed some sentimental tears as the final zip was done and Carlee added the finishing touches to her bridal look.

Moments later, Nick and his groomsmen were in the front of the church cracking jokes and teasing Nick. One of my favorite things to do is to ask each groomsmen to show me their “groom” face. Sometimes this leads to very inappropriate or very personality revealing truths about the groom, but in Nicks case it just confirmed what I already knew – that Nick is a very kind hearted guy who is always smiling that big smile! Then after Nick showed me his hat trick and the guys hid away so the girls could have a turn in front of the camera. As you can imagine, they were full of joy and big beautiful laughs.

Then after a precious moment where Carlee and Nick prayed together, without looking at each other it was finally time to seal the deal in front of God and their friends and family. Their Catholic ceremony took place in the gorgeous Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Boulder, Colorado. As Carlee and Nick made their promises to each other, I’m not sure anything could have broken their two smiles. They walked back down the church aisle as a married couple and the party was started! The rest of the evening was spent basically just having fun. We took family photos, bridal party photos and my favorite – their first photos as Mr and Mrs! We all party-bused to the Westin Westminister where the party never stopped. There was dancing, auctioning, amazing food and dessert, toasts to remember, and so many people cheering on the new Mr and Mrs Elliot.

Congratulations, Carlee and Nick! I am so grateful to have been the one to document your beautiful day. I know into my bones that this was just the first of many fun filled, loving, perfect days in your future. Biggest of squeezes to you both!
