Lanaia and Greg Lacock | October 16th, 2020 | Havre, Montana

It was a typical Montana fall day with unpredictable weather patterns. Thankfully instead of freezing temperatures and snow, we ended up with pretty cold temps and rain. In some cultures, rain on your wedding day is considered good luck and symbolizes fertility and cleansing, so whether you are superstitious or not, I think it’s better to think on the bright side and shout rain is definitely a good thing! I mean, Luke Bryan sings a whole song about it, it must be true (lol) Okay, but seriously, after witnessing and experiencing the Lacock’s getting married on Friday, I can definitely confirm – rain IS a good thing!

Lanaia and Greg both started their mornings with their closest friends and family. Lanaia’s soon-to-be sister-in-law fixed her hair and her bridesmaids helped with her makeup. The room was filled will so much joy and excitement as Lanaia got into her dress and was getting ready to see Greg! Greg called right before Lanaia got into her dress and told us that he was already at the first look spot! We were all so happy that he was there and on time but felt bad that he would have another 20 minutes of waiting by himself with all of the pre first look nerves.  However when we arrived, Greg told me how nice it was to have that 20 minutes alone to think about the big day ahead and calm his nerves!! When Greg finally saw Lanaia in her dress, you could just see the love in his eyes. It was such a sweet, tender moment.

After the super sweet first look and some more portraits we headed to the 5th Avenue Christian Church to seal the deal in their ceremony. The church was filled with their closest family and friends. Everyone was cheering as they had their first kiss and walked out of the church as husband and wife! After the ceremony, Lanaia and Greg signed their marriage license with a quill that has been passed down for many generations. I mean, how cool is that?! Not very many people can say they had an antique family heirloom to seal their marriage! Lanaia and her mom also handmade some of the details including Lanaia’s veil and all of the wood shaved flowers filled in the bouquets and decor! Everyone was so obsessed with her bouquet from their preview photos and I know why – those flowers are absolutely amazing. They are so lucky they will get to cherish those beauties forever! The Reception was held at the 4-H Chuck Wagon where their guests enjoyed the delicious taco bar, danced their booties off, with an impromptu tie auction, and celebrated the new Mr. and Mrs. Lacock! Congratulations Lanaia and Greg, wishing you two the most happiness
