Megan and Lex | 08/31/2019

Saturday began as a quiet, calm morning as Megan got ready with her best friends and Lex hit the driving range and golf course with his groomsmen.  Megan has such a sweet, peaceful air about her that stuck around through the day.  As the first look grew ever closer, the bridesmaids and Megan’s mom helped her tuck a few pieces of hair, perfectly place her jewelry, and fluff her gorgeous lace dress as the final touch to her stunning bridal look.  As I met with Lex, he was his normal hilarious, joyful self; he laughed with his best friends and told stories as he put on his vest, bowtie, and cowboy hat.

We had the longest dramatic pause ever as we waited for a couple golfers to start their next hole before their first look!  As Lex spun around, Megan’s smile grew and they exchanged sweet words before starting into their couple portraits. From there, we wrangled a hilarious, rowdy group of groomsmen and threw around some serious sass during the bridal party portraits.  You could tell that these two were surrounded by friends and family that loved them and were totally ready to celebrate their love!

Their ceremony was officiated by a dear family member who delivered some very wise, touching words.  Their daughter (so stinking cute!) was pulled down the aisle in a wagon and they had prepared a sand ceremony to top off their nuptials.  During their reception, we shared a delicious dinner catered by Henny Penny and the Father of the Bride, ate delicious cupcakes, and listened to a couple of the funniest speeches I’ve ever heard.  Lex and Megan had an absolutely epic cake smash and together with their families and friends they danced the night away to cap off the best day ever!

Meg + Lex, we wish you many years of happiness, adventures, and fun watching sweet Brynlee grow.  Thank you for having us as part of your day!
